HELLO I'M
LET'S DISRUPT THE WORLD INTO A BETTER PLACE.
LET'S DISRUPT TRADITION AND ADD SOME COLOR TO THE WORLD.
i don't believe that there's much that is super simple. it's just that great design is able to disguise the details and the complexities as simplicity. in that
way, designers are like magicians.
My experience managing the operation of a nuclear submarine thought me how to continuously zoom in and zoom out. I learned how to see things from a 50,000 foot view while still staying attune to even the slightest details. We do this in design all the time.
UCLA business school taught me how to see the numbers. Understanding this helps a designer justify to organizations their vision for the future and gets them a seat at the table.
My time at Kaiser Permanente helped me fulfill my sense of service. Both at Kaiser and the Navy, the core mission was full of purpose and beyond one's self. It was human centered.
At 72andSunny, we constantly asked the question "why should people care?" This simple question helped me hone the ability to tell a compelling story. As humans, we connect, we make sense, and we experience things through narratives. A great designer must therefore inherently be a great storyteller.
Throughout my life, I have continuously found myself questioning the status quo, envisioning how things can be, compelled to reshape my surroundings into a better state. With this lens, I have always been a designer. A creator.
Now... as a designer with a unique multidisciplinary background and a refined ecosystems level approach, I have the ability to blend the motivations of design, technology, society, and business to lead organizations in the creation of things that yesterday seemed impossible.
Unafraid to dream big. Empowered with a fiery passion. I look forward to following my interest in wearable technologies, business innovation, and creative direction.
Connect with me! Let's disrupt the world into a better place.
